AN UNFORTUNATE DISBURSE IN A FLOCK
“Once veiled thinly-bodied now unveiled and in incessant tears;
Grey-haired internally bruised, clutching at the straws to portray oneself cool;
And the glassed one enjoys playing with innocents’ true feelings.”
Frequently heard proverb: Birds of same feather flock together, has drawn its analogy from a flock of birds belonging to same genus which fly together with little difference in speed but not daring to leave the flock in a fear of going astray once de-flocked. Getting together again in a flock, often becomes hard rather next to impossible and ultimately left with no alternative but to wander here and there for some time which is very lethal and even take away life in a few particular cases. The very analogy is drawn for a certain group of birds: nearly 40 in number encompassing some beautiful, attractive and exquisite birds. The flock was well managed in its infancy. None dared to even conceive an idea of getting oneself dismembered but suddenly and unfortunately, a few beautiful tone-melodious birds were attracted to another large membered-flock with illusionary long feathers. Totally unacquainted with the reality on a ground, they developed fully-backed confidence in themselves that they were not going into a trap: deliberate or inadvertent. At last, after a quarter of an year, three birds including one fully mature, got themselves dissociated from a small flock and flew to a large flock on the bases of untold, unknown and ulterior motives.
Prying and trying, looking for an earlier considered dying flock with shying-face and shivering body. Thinly-bodied, grey-haired and glassed one, two of the three hawks, still expecting something benefitting from the suffering shadow bigwigs. Being puzzled with an apparent unity but in actual with a dash of disunity and striving to walk up a tight-rope to maintain a delicate balance with an overt publicised stupidity. Lovingly, missing the classes with each passing day to placate 3rd solar revolutionary monsters anticipating flying colours through them in the semester. Eventually, crying and shying over the cutting of their expected strong wings by widely-known metro-sexual butcher. Despite unparalleled support of bigwigs, the results popped up an astounding backlash of teachers. Happily, jumping onto the bandwagon, with deflated tyres, of 12th quartered monsters with probable spectacular rise in their veneration, backfired with a severe setback to head on with an iron hand usually unfound in real world.
Now, looking going tough for self-exiled singing birds to retain their immature partial-mates bragging to have closeness with teachers. Unsurprisingly, recommending the 3rd quartered beautiful birds remained a far milestone; even bigwigs themselves were driven to rub their nose into sand over the unexpected and shocking outcomes. Losing their own senses, looking here and there for seeking a ray of hope to recover their dashed reverence but their such face-saving trials will prove to be nothing more than a cry in the wilderness only because rechecking plea is sometimes taken as personal or shrugged off frantically. Trampling upon the criteria of professionalism, real issues affecting the future of colourful birds are made to be lost in cacophony of frivolous loving promises not necessarily ending at permanent wedlock. Thinking of an enduring relation with especially one bigwig is just like expecting a cat to be vegetarian or praying for an orange tree to grow mangoes. For you and you know why…
Normalizing the relation with left and forfeited mature doves is like a second marriage: triumph of hope over experience. The label of dishonesty and betrayal will stick to them for next one and half a year as it is an uneasy task to rebut the falsity of rumours. Mature birds won’t feel bizarre over the arrival of beautiful hawks back at pavilion empty-handedly. Having the ways been parted with bigwigs in all six classes, the astray birds left with no alternative but to patch-up with fully-backed doves who are still ready to school them and extend a helping hand towards them in every weal and woe occurring within departmental premises. Above board, I personally feel deep sorry for grey-eyed with half-haired who fell in an inalienable love with fickle-minded bony-bodied hawk unknowing that she very rarely sustain any true relation. Being deserted some four months ago, he still pries here and there to have a gaze at her to take a sigh of relief and mental satisfaction.
Getting failed and going pale with whole-sale wail will now become the norm of each coming semester. Academically, what is done cannot be undone if above 60 but somewhat. No worries, because relieving pain and recovering same won’t be undoable ride for determined, devoted and committed birds. Generally speaking, myth once created takes triple time to be eliminated. Same the case is with fiery-faced birds which are burning midnight oil to make new inroads into ranks and files of left flock. Making them sure about their bizarre spree of mistakes to be forgiven without taking anything gone for granted anymore. Lastly, once again I am in tears co-equally with actual teary having shivering body and dancing-legs who put his back with full might and left no stone unturned to regain his lost love which had vanished due to some unknown reasons probably the trivial ones holding no much heavy water. I am not a devil’s advocate but a sympathizer and you know it well.
Returning sadly empty handed; regretting severely on looking backwards retrospectively and crying grievously on an split milk; they will inexorably fly back and implore the small flock leader to make some room for them which will reveal to be the moment of higher shyness and face-saving for those who once used to strut about in the land not even hailing small flock birds who had always sustained whole-hearted compassion and sympathy for them. They were obsessed with flying a kite having its string cut but they did not know it; when they opened up their eyes and saw that the kite was flying away from them without stretching string, then they knew the deception they had been dispensed with by novice and pretty birds-centred bigwigs of a large flock. By the way, being a member of a small flock, I along with consent of other birds will welcome them back cordially and with open arms even we shall unroll a red carpet to hail them back. It reflects the small flock’s sense of maturity, long-sightedness, tolerance, unity, co-existence, inclusiveness, fraternity and at the forefront somewhat penchant of beauty which is instilled in every male and female bird by NATURE.
